My grateful list continues:
A beautiful sunny day,
The whir of an old fan.
A day at Old Faithful.
Talking to Erin and Nathan and them bringing me ice for my lukewarm tea.
Meeting a woman, Renita, who also brought me ice for my lukewarm tea.
Being able to help Janet with her wedding.
Finding an awesome wedding dress for Janet, brand new at Twice Blessed thrift store. (Tags still on it from David's Bridal....$599.00, price at thrift store, $300.00, but "for me" the price was dropped to $100.00!).
Eating my sister's awesome brownies. She thought they were overdone, but I thought they were wonderful.
The help that Beth and Paul have been to Doyle and I since moving in. Flower gardens weeded, raspberries weeded, strawberries weeded, the trees trimmed, the "new" bedroom, stripped of old wallpaper, textured walls, primed walls, and painting soon to begin!
Bought the paint this morning, so Paul can start painting tomorrow. (Erin helped me pick out the colors....a little scary, but I'm "being brave!).
Another birthday coming up, and I'm still enjoying life.
A wonderful evening yesterday with family, and especially with two year old grandson, Jonathan. How sweet to hear him say, "I want to spend time with you Nalli!"
He is such a polite little guy, and so fun to be around. Is there anything sweeter than having a little boy sit on your lap, sipping his water, eating his pretzels and smelling like a little, sweaty boy?
(Okay, maybe not the sweaty part........but every Grandma will know what I mean!).
Isn't God good? It's a good thing to have a grateful heart.
