About Me

  • About Me: I am a baby boomer, I grew up on the Navajo reservation, the daughter of a teacher/principal/missionary. I presently live in the Four Corners area of the United States, with my husband and best friend. We were married on August 21, 1976. It was the best thing I ever did, the next best thing I did, was have three children, all of whom are now grown and married with wonderful spouses. I have two daughters-in-law, and one son-in-law. I am the grandmother of a little boy born January 15, 2007. I have a dog, two cats, goats and fish. I love old books, vintage clothes, and going on walks with my husband. I thoroughly enjoy my family and I like nothing better than spending time with them. I am a partner in an antique store, Old Faithful, and am happiest when I can use my home for hospitality...ie: coffee with friends, overnight guests, dinner with friends, family and strangers...it doesn't matter to me....Invest in people! Make a difference in someone's life today.

More About Me

  • Religion: Christian
  • Heroes: my mother
  • Interests: I have many interests: reading, listening to music, spending time with good friends, sitting by the river with a great cup of coffee and super conversation... or no conversation! There is nothing more important or interesting than people and nothing really matters more than relationships....relationships with each other and my relationship with my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
  • Expertise: I am always learning, so don't know what kind of an expert I really am, but I do enjoy spending time with people and opening my home to anyone. We have met some interesting people by having an "open-door" policy. I am learning to hold things "loosely". Nothing much matters in life, except the things that are eternal. My hope is that the three children that God gave my husband and I as "gifts" will truly be "gifts" to be used for God's glory. Hopefully, I've learned a few things in the process of raising my children (they are grown now), and that in almost 30 years of marriage, I've learned to love my husband as Christ would have me and that our marriage is truly a testimony to others.

This took place in the 1960's. The lagoon would freeze over and Daddy would walk out on the ice to test it for thickness. If it was strong enough we kids made a dash for the dark, musty-smelling Big House basement. There under the dim gleam of a dusty lightbulb we'd dig through a couple of deep ba

Bunny, I don't know if the date is right--1960's anyway. Remember hiding in our bedroom closet and eating dry cake batter from that child's bake set? I think we got in trouble for that. What was the set called anyway? I'm sure Mother bought it from the Sears catalog. Remember using those lit
