  •    Sunday afternoon was spent with my first grandson, Jonathan.  We spent most of the afternoon in the back yard at our pond.  That was after Jonathan and his "Paca" went "fixing the fence", and found a skunk skull (picture above).  Skunk skulls and three year old boys seem to go "hand in hand."  But so do dead fishes and a piece of plant matter that we decided was a bear.  That "bear" was caught with the net over and over and thrown back over and over.  It gave both of us a lot of fun talking about the "bear."  Jonathan has a great little imagination, something I think is vital to have to grow up normally, and I love to see it grow as he grows.

The day was beautiful and it truly was a special one for both of us.  One of the things I've dreamed about for years was a day just like our lovely Sunday afternoon.  There isn't anything much nicer than "fishing" for bears and dead fish (with its guts hanging out!) with my little grandson.....
